White-tailed deer are found naturally in only two locations within the Southern Hemisphere — Stewart Island/Rakiura and at the head of Lake Wakatipu. Their limited distribution, combined with their secretive behaviour, makes them one of New Zealand’s most sought-after hunting trophies.
Limited Hunting Opportunities
To maintain the quality of the hunting experience and ensure careful management of the property, only a small number of guided trophy hunts will be offered each year.
These hunts will occur early March for hard stripping velvet & late April through June during their rut period.

- Sleeping Bag for overnight hunts

- Binoculars (recommend 10x42 or similar)

- Medication
- Rifle - We allow you the option of bringing your own Rifle but if you don’t have one then you will have the use of ours
